Why I ran this test
I'm 54, and the bags under my eyes showed up in my forties and never left, even after a full night's sleep. Eye creams did nothing I could see in the mirror. Microneedle patches kept turning up in my feed, and two brands came up most: Orena and NovaLift. Both use tiny needles that dissolve into the skin overnight, and both say twice a week is enough. NovaLift costs less. I wanted to know what the extra money at Orena buys, so I ordered 8 pairs of each and alternated weeks.

Green marks the better pick where there is one. Three rows are a draw.
What's in the needles
Both brands make the needles out of the actives themselves, so each needle melts into the skin and leaves the ingredients behind. I read both lists before the first night.
- Five actives: niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, retinol, vitamin C and peptides
- The needles dissolve overnight, and Orena says they release 100% of the actives
- Its product page prints a single list of the five
- Hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, retinol and peptides in its "What's Inside" list
- Its FAQ adds niacinamide, which brings it level with Orena's five
- The two lists on its own page don't match, so you have to read both
Call the formula a draw. Counted up, the two lists name the same five actives, and I couldn't tell them apart on my skin. Orena gets a small point for printing one list and sticking to it.
Wearing them overnight
Same routine for both: clean, dry skin, press each patch on for a few seconds, sleep in it, peel it off in the morning. Monday and Thursday nights, every week.
- A wide crescent that curves up around the outer corner, where my crow's feet start
- A few seconds of tingling when I pressed it on, then nothing
- Two hours is the minimum wear time, and I slept in mine
- A slimmer crescent that stays under the eye and doesn't curve up at the corner
- The same brief tingle when it went on, and it faded just as fast
- Its page says twice a week in one place and 2 to 3 times in another, which changes how long a bundle lasts
Under the eye I saw the same change from both by week three: less puffiness in the morning and a softer line where the bag sits. The outer corner is where Orena pulled ahead, because its patch curves up over my crow's feet and NovaLift's stays below them.
What each brand claims, and who's behind it
When two patches are this close, the promises and the company behind them start to matter more than the reviews.
- Says plumping is often visible from the first uses, with bags, dark circles and fine lines typically after 1 to 2 weeks
- Its 98%, 93% and 87% figures come from a satisfaction survey of 300 customers, and the page says so
- Run by DIGIECOM LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming, with a phone number and an email on its policy pages
- Rated 4.8 out of 5 "based on 43,893 users", by its own badge
- Its 90%, 93%, 70% and 87% figures come with no survey size or date
- Its contact page lists an email, a phone line and 9am to 5pm ET hours, but no registered company name
Both brands sell hard with big percentages. Orena tells you where its numbers come from and names the LLC behind the store. NovaLift lists a phone line and an email but no registered company name.
If they don't work: the guarantee and returns
This is the part that decided it for me. A patch only proves itself after you've opened the packet and slept in it for a few weeks, so the refund rules matter more than usual.
- 90 days from delivery to ask for a full refund if you're unhappy with the results
- Sale and promotion orders are covered, and only gift cards are excluded
- Ships in 24 to 48 hours on average, with tracking, and arrives in 5 to 7 business days
- Its sales page promises a full refund within 30 days, "no questions asked"
- Its refund policy accepts only items that are unused and in their original packaging
- The same policy says sale items can't be returned, and every bundle is listed as marked down
NovaLift's two pages disagree. Its sales page offers a no-questions refund within 30 days. Its refund policy takes back unused items only and rules out sale items, which covers every bundle it lists. Orena's policy gives you 90 days to judge the results, and sale orders count. With a product you can only judge after a few weeks of wear, that's the difference I'd pay for.
What the patches cost per pair
NovaLift is cheaper at every size. Both brands pack one pair per packet, so I lined the bundles up by pairs. At two nights a week, 8 pairs last a month and 16 last two months.
| Bundle | Orena | NovaLift |
|---|---|---|
| Smallest bundle | $39.95 for 4 pairs ($9.99 each) | $38.95 for 6 pairs ($6.49 each) |
| 8 pairs | $69.90 ($8.74 each) | $47.95 ($5.99 each) |
| 16 pairs | $89.95 ($5.62 each) | $87.95 ($5.50 each) |
Green marks the lower price. Each brand's bundle price on its own site in October 2026.
For a month's supply, NovaLift saves you $21.95. At 16 pairs the gap shrinks to $2.00, about 13 cents a pair. That $2 buys you 60 more days to ask for a refund, and a refund you can still claim after you've worn them.
