Why I ran this test
I'm 44, and for years my under-eyes have been puffy, with a dark shadow under both. People kept asking if I was tired, usually the morning after a full night's sleep. I tried a few eye creams and couldn't see that any of them did anything. Then I found Orena's microneedle patches, and after that I kept running into Oros, which sells the same kind of patch for less per pair. So I bought both, and I paid for the Oros order myself.

Green marks the better pick where there is one. Three rows are a draw.
What's in each patch
Before night one I read both labels side by side. I wanted to know what the needles are made of and which actives end up under my eyes.
- Needles made of crystallized actives that dissolve overnight and release 100% of them
- Five named actives: Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol, Vitamin C and Peptides
- One pair to a sealed sachet, so you only open what you use that night
- Dissolving microneedles with 0.3 mm tips, a length it states plainly
- Hyaluronic Acid Complex 39%, peptides, niacinamide; its full list adds a vitamin C form and a retinoid
- Angelica Root Water is featured on its page, but I couldn't find it in its full list
A draw on what's inside. They're the same kind of patch, and both have hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, peptides, a form of vitamin C and a retinoid. Oros is more open: it publishes a full ingredient list and states its needle length. Orena names its five actives, and I'd have liked to see the rest.
Wearing them
Both went on the same two nights a week, Sunday and Wednesday, and I slept in them. Orena on the left eye, Oros on the right.
- Press 5 to 10 seconds, wear overnight or at least 2 hours, 2 nights a week
- Just a few seconds of tingling, and Orena says redness fades in 15 to 30 minutes
- One sealed sachet a night, so it's easy to pack for a trip
- Oros says 1 to 2 hours or overnight, so it can come off after an hour
- Its FAQ says to expect a slight prickle for 10 to 15 seconds
- Two upkeep schedules: once a week in its how-to, 2 to 3 times a week in its FAQ
On my face it was a draw. By week 8 I couldn't reliably tell from the photos which eye had which patch. Oros' 1-to-2-hour option is handy if you can't sleep in one. Orena wants at least 2 hours.
Who's behind each patch
When two patches work the same way, the company behind each one matters more.
- Operated by DIGIECOM LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming, with an email and a phone number
- Support Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 10 PM EST, with replies within 24 hours
- 4.8/5 from 299 verified reviews you can read through yourself
- Built and sold for men, right down to the store name, Oros Men
- Support is a contact form and an email, with no phone number listed
- An "Excellent 4.7/5 | 11,000+ trusted reviews" photo badge and an 18,293+ customer count, but no full review list I could check
Oros' page is built for men and says plainly what the patch is for, which I liked. Its review numbers are bigger and harder to check: I found no full list behind them. Orena gives you a company name, a phone line with posted hours and 299 reviews you can scroll through. If an order went wrong, that's who I'd want to call.
Guarantee, shipping and returns
Each seller answers two questions differently: when will it arrive, and what happens if it doesn't work for you?
- Ships in 24 to 48 hours on average, then 5 to 7 business days, with tracking
- 90-day money-back guarantee from the day it arrives, sale and promotion orders included
- Email support@orena-cosmetics.co with your order number, refund within 10 business days of approval
- Free shipping over $40 and a 60-day money-back guarantee
- The 60 days count from delivery, and shipping fees are not refunded
- Processed in 1 to 3 business days (up to 5 in promotions), then 7 to 12 days after it ships
Orena wins this round. You get 30 more days to decide, and the box gets to you sooner. Fair point to Oros: shipping is free once an order passes $40, so its two bigger bundles ship at no charge.
What two months of patches costs
Oros costs less per pair at every size: $34.90 for 6 pairs against Orena's $39.95 for 4. The difference is how you pay. Every Oros bundle is a subscription that keeps shipping until you cancel, and Orena sells one-time orders.
| Order | Orena, one-time | Oros, subscription |
|---|---|---|
| First order | $39.95 for 4 pairs ($9.99 a pair) | $34.90 for 6 pairs ($5.82 a pair) |
| About two months, 2 nights a week | $89.95 for 16 pairs | $69.80 for 18 pairs |
| Lowest price per pair | $5.62 (16 pairs for $89.95) | $3.49 (30 pairs for $104.70) |
Green marks the lower price. Oros prices are subscription prices, and its page says refills ship every 30 days, so the two-month row assumes you cancel before the first refill.
For about two months of patches, Oros is $69.80 and Orena is $89.95, so Oros saves you $20.15 and adds two pairs. On the biggest bundles it works out to $3.49 a pair against $5.62. If you're happy to manage a subscription, that's real money. If you want to buy once and decide later, Orena costs more for that.
